6Wind announced that Netways Managed Services, a managed service and hosting provider based in Germany, selected its Turbo IPsec virtual routers (vRouters) to supply secure VPN services for its customers.
The vRouters are available in bare metal and virtual machine (VM) configurations. They run on commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) servers. The Turbo IPsec deployed in HA mode provides Hot Standby High Availability for seamless failover across VPN tunnels. It meets the requirement in terms of software performance of Netways to run as a virtual machine (VM) at 5 Gbps.
Netways tested Cloud-Init deployment and integration with the Netcong/Yang-based management engine for automated orchestration. Netways supports companies for the setup, monitoring, automation and management of their IT infrastructures, based on open source.
